Exceptions to the Warranty (Asphalt and Concrete)

Movement: Asphalt and Concrete move with the subsoils found below the installed base material. During the freeze and thaw cycles we experience, the subsoil moves. The amount of movement you see is reflective of the type of subsoil you have, not the amount of base installed. Clay subsoils for example may show a lot of movement, whereas sandy subsoil may show little movement. If there is enough movement in the subsoil, the asphalt or concrete will move with the ground. The pavement may be pushed up or settle down depending on the movement occurring. We have no control over this movement and your new asphalt or concrete surface may reflect some of this movement once the freeze/thaw cycle stabilizes.

Drainage: We cannot guarantee drainage on projects with less than 1.75% grade.

Sinking due to underground utility lines or decomposition of buried tree/shrub roots or stumps.

Excessive damage or abuse that could have been avoided by the customer. This includes, but is not limited to, regularly parking on the edge of the pavement, areas of fuel or oil saturation due to spills or leaking vehicles, etc.
